INTRO

The METHOD Diagnostic determines whether execution is appropriate, and if so, under what conditions it may proceed.

This page explains what happens next, and what does not.

SECTION 1 — HOW RESULTS ARE INTERPRETED

You may see one of three outcomes:

This means the system is not yet ready for automation, optimisation, or scale.

Introducing execution at this stage would likely increase risk, rework, or organisational friction.

What happens:

  • We do not proceed with execution

  • We may recommend stabilisation work

  • In some cases, we recommend no further action yet

What does not happen:

  • No tools are introduced

  • No workflows are built

  • No shortcuts are offered

This means parts of the system are ready, but constraints remain.

What happens:

  • Execution may proceed only within defined boundaries

  • Scope is deliberately limited

  • Decision gates are enforced

What does not happen:

  • No full-scale rollout

  • No optimisation before stabilisation

  • No expansion beyond what the system can support

This means the organisation is capable of supporting governed execution.

What happens:

  • Work proceeds under the Canon

  • Intake, decision gates, completion states, and feedback loops are enforced

  • Execution is paced, not rushed

What does not happen:

  • No free-form delivery

  • No bypassing governance

  • No acceleration without evidence

WHY WE DON’T
“JUST START” execution

Reality Check

Automation amplifies whatever already exists.

Failure Mode

If structure is missing, automation accelerates failure.

Control Mechanism

The Diagnostic exists to prevent that outcome.

WHY READINESS
COMES FIRST

DECISION BEFORE DELIVERY

Judgement must exist before anything is built.

SEQUENCE MATTERS

The wrong order creates rework, mistrust, and cost.

PERMISSION TO PROCEED

Readiness determines whether execution is allowed.

HOW EXECUTION
IS GOVERNED

STRUCTURED ENTRY

Work enters through defined intake, not interruption.

UPSTREAM JUDGEMENT

Decisions are made once, before work begins.

EXPLICIT COMPLETION

Work finishes in clear states, not activity.

WHAT THIS PREVENTS

ACCELERATED CHAOS

Automation does not fix instability.

QUALITY DRIFT

Scale does not dilute standards.

HERO-DEPENDENCE

Systems do not rely on constant intervention.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

EVALUATE READINESS

Run the METHOD™ Diagnostic.

DETERMINE PERMISSION

Execution is blocked, conditional, or permitted.

PROCEED UNDER CANON™

Work advances only within governance.
